INGREEN contributed to the BBI JU Stakeholder Forum 2019

INGREEN project participated at the BBI JU Projects day and Stakeholder Forum 2019 which took place in Brussels, respectively on 3 and 4 December.

The first day was dedicated to BBI JU projects. This event brought together the project representatives of bio-based projects for open discussions about the impact, achievements and strategic direction of the Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI JU) programme. Here, Narinder Bains, the project coordinator from INEUVO, presented the recent research results of INGREEN. He also participated in an interesting panel discussion about Food, Feed and Health Products with other representatives of bio-based projects.

During the BBI JU Stakeholder forum, there was an exhibition where 100 BBI projects presented their work. This enabled visitors to meet some of the project partners at the INGREEN stand, where they discussed the project’s aim and the expected outcomes. Many participants were very interested to find out that INGREEN is focussed on capturing potential valuable sources of unexploited bio-based compounds from paper and agro-food side-streams.

The BBI JU Stakeholder forum 2019 brought together different stakeholders from the bio-based industries community. The latest ideas in bio-based industries were shared with industries, SMEs, academia, research organizations, policymakers, opinion leaders, BBI JU projects’ participants who attended the event.

This event was a great opportunity to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, ideas and best practices related to the bio-based sector. If you were unable to attend, please access more information on the BBI JU Stakeholder Forum, speeches and presentations, and interviews.
